We're happy to kick off our annual MagNut Program on Oct. 1!
MagNut, which stands for magazines, nuts and candy, is a great way to help your Girl Scout fund the fun she'll have this year. Whether she's in a troop or an Indie Girl Scout, she can participate online, in-person (or both!) to reach her goals. The more ways she participates, the more funds she has for her Girl Scout adventures!
Here is a quick guide to getting started with MagNut!
For Troop Leaders:
Troop leaders will receive a launch email Oct. 1 to invite them to access UNIFY, our new MagNut management system. UNIFY replaces Nut-E.

Contact your Service Unit MagNut Manager or check out the online Troop Resources for helpful training videos on both MagNut and UNIFY.
For Girls:
Customers can order or renew magazines, and choose from an amazing lineup of great snacks featuring two new tins that are perfect for gifts or just to enjoy. New this year: Candles, tumblers, and organic veggies with additional yummy nut and candy items available online. See what's new and exclusive.
Choose the selling options that work best for you:
- Online: Activate your Girl Scout's personal online sales site and work with her to set her goals and email friends and family. Share her page on Facebook to ask friends and family far and wide to renew magazines or buy great holiday gifts. Or, text a shopping link, too! Girls can take online orders through Nov. 17. Girls who registered for the MagNut Online program last year will a receive a launch email Oct. 1!
- In Person: Take the traditional route and help your Girl Scout go door-to-door in your neighborhood, ask friends where you worship and family to help her reach her goal. (Payment for magazines is due when ordered. Nuts & candy payments are collected when she delivers the product.) Submit your in-person orders no later than Oct. 23 to your troop. Product will be delivered the week of Nov. 13.
- Both: Mix it up and ask a few neighbors in person, connect with Grandma in another state through Facebook, and text your BFF.
- Reach Out Booklet: Earn $2 for your troop from each completed booklet, including names and addresses. How easy is that?!
- Operation: Sweet Appreciation: Through this amazing program, girls ask customers to donate honey roasted peanuts to the military at home and overseas. Operation: Sweet Appreciation can be part of in-person orders. Online ordering is also available but doesn't count toward any girl recognitions.
How do we start? It's as easy as 1-2-3!
