Girl Scout Week - Day 2: Be a Go-Getter!

In celebration of Girl Scout Week, we're encouraging girls and volunteers to take part in activities that show the world what it means to be a G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™. These are the traits that define girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Go-getters are bold, honest, and determined to succeed. They're proactive and take action to improve their communities and their world. That explains why half of all U.S. businesswomen were Girl Scouts!

Here are some things you can do today to be a go-getter:

  • Clean up your community by picking up trash at a local park or hiking trail.
  • Collect your old toys and books and deliver them to a local shelter.
  • Visit a senior center and do crafts and activities with the residents.
  • Spend time working on a Girl Scout Award. (Petal, Badge, Journey or Pin)
