- All Girl Scouts receive 10% off merchandise in all zoo gift shops when you wear your Girl Scout uniform or shirt. Discount does not apply to already discounted items, rentals, or media.
- Are you a member of the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium? If so, you are eligible for a discounted rate of $1 per person for Girl Scout Day at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium. You must submit this form in advance!
- This is a rain or shine event. Girls must attend with a troop or parent/guardian.
- Advanced registration deadline is 09-11-19.
- Day of registration will be $15 for all participants.
- If you have a child that is 2-3 years old, please call Customer Care at 1-800-248-3355 to register them.
Schedule of Events
Admissions Plaza:
10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Registration
10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Examine tiger fur, an elephant tusk, and a rhino horn to learn more about endangered species.
11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Learn more about clouded leopards and take the pledge to save the rain forest.
Special giraffe photos (Must be in line by 12:15 p.m.)
Monarch Madness · Learn about the monarch butterfly and tag a monarch! Tagging activity is for Girl Scouts only, while supplies last. And, meet animal ambassadors. Bring your cameras!
11 a.m. Polar bear feeding (in the water)
12:30 p.m. Sea otter feeding
1 p.m. Northern elephant seal feeding
1:30 p.m. Beaver feeding · See the beaver kits (born May 30) swimming in their exhibit
